Diagnostic Ultrasound Scan

Ultrasound scanning uses high-frequency sound waves to produce pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and joints throughout the body. It is used to help diagnose sprains, strains, tears, trapped nerves, arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.

Ultrasound can help your therapist target the correct structures and produce the most individualised and specific rehabilitation plans for you going forward.

The scan will produce a report which we will keep on your file and we will give you a copy.

We recommend that you have an initial assessment with one of our expert team before booking an ultrasound scan to ensure that it is going to be appropriate.

We do however accept self referrals for our ultrasound service.

We also utilise the ultrasound for targeted injection therapy which you can find out more about here
