Senior physiotherapist

Employed Full Time

£26,000 to £30,000 based on experience

Overview

We have a unique opportunity for a motivated, ambitious and forward thinking Physiotherapist to join our progressive sports injury orientated physiotherapy clinic. We are a small friendly team, passionate about the level of care we give to our patients and are rapidly growing. We are looking for someone who wants to develop both their own career and to help elevate our practice to the next level. You would be an integral part of the business and for the right candidate could be the potential for partnership and a share of the business in the future.

Location

We are located in a truly unrivalled location, based in a wonderful converted barn on a Dorset manor house estate. A workplace that both staff and patients enjoy coming to, in an environment that perfectly reflects the relaxed yet high standards of the business. We have three treatment rooms and plans for a fourth, a rehabilitation gym, kitchen and toilet facilities, plentiful parking and a unique outdoor rehabilitation area. (visit www.dmphysiofitnessdorset.co.uk for a look at the facilities and some videos of the clinic and team in action).

Situated 7 miles to Bournemouth beach (recently voted the best beach in the UK and 6th best beach in Europe!) 10 miles to the New Forest National Park, with its abundance of wildlife and outdoor activity opportunities and 15 miles to the Isle of Purbeck and world-renowned Jurassic coast. However the area is also served by good transport links with journeys to London Waterloo and London Heathrow Airport in less than 2 hours.

Clinic Ethos

As a clinic we were founded on the principal that true high level sports physiotherapy care, that fully understands the patient and commitments required of them, is rarely available to the general population. We are focused on providing every patient access to the same level of care an elite athlete would receive and strongly believe in ‘hands on’ physiotherapy approach. We treat patients using a combination of manual therapy techniques (i.e soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation) alongside the latest advances in medical technology (Shockwave therapy, Compex muscle stimulation, ice compression recovery). There would be an annual allowance and encouragement towards CPD courses discussed on a case-by-case basis to help advance both your own skills and the treatments offered at the practice.

Our clientele is mainly privately funded patients with a portion of patients covered by the major medical insurers but we do not work with intermediaries or insurance companies with lengthy paperwork processes. We have a full time admin team consisting of a clinic manager and receptionists so you wont have to worry about any invoicing or logistical side of the business and can focus on your patients and your treatments.

Working hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview but will include some evening and weekend working. We also provide event physiotherapy during the summer months for a variety of different sports including off road running races and rugby 7’s tournaments. You would assist in both the running of the physiotherapy service at these events and supervising the student therapists that help us to provide an event service.

We truly believe this is an unique opportunity that doesn’t present itself often and for the right candidate believe it is a role that offers a perfect balance between career satisfaction and life balance.
